Mr Ed Bentleys awesomely thought provoking track " Who Was That Old Man " . "I don’t usually rave about a song much but on hearing this one I’ll admit it did make me think. It’s not overtly Country but has an appealing laid back quality to it that keeps you listening musically it’s sound nice haunting guitar ever present in the background but its just that in the background not in your face , where the song really shines is in the lyrics . Here Mr Bentley captures a moment in time perfectly painting a picture so vividly with words that in your minds eye you see the scenes perfectly clearly. That and Ed’s deep almost spoken vocal draws the listener in to want to hear more."

In late 2004 Ed Bentley was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame after having been away from the music scene for over 20 years. Running a sucessfull Insurance business was a nice secure life but there was always that feeling,"somethings missing". That "something" was performing and writing country songs. Ed's induction was the needed spark, and before long he sold the Insurance business, grabbed his guitar and jumped right back into music with both feet. He started making frequent trips to Nashville, renewing old aquaintances, co writing with some great writers, opened a publishing company and finally started recorded again.Ed's latest being "Who Needs Jamaica", features some of the songs he has written or cowritten over the last two years.
