I watched a Public service announcement for the Musicians Hall of Fame event coming up on Thursday
What a thrill to hear you are being inducted
It's terrific to see how well all is going too
I want to tell you that I remember a gig you did at the Masten Armory's Officers X-Mas Party... you had a female vocalist along with your band and MAN you performed some Linda Ronstadt tunes that night along w/other songs and WOW you rocked that place

Hi Ed,Remember me we played together when we were about 8or 9 yrs old I lived on Forest ave you lived on Dewitt st behind Guginos deli,last time I saw you ,you were running a music store on Harlem Rd near Kensington .Heard about you from Ramblin Lou while at the Fair .Great to hear you were inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. Your new song really sezs it all about Buffalo,my daughter lives in Florida I sent it to her they love it as while they live in Florida they still route for all the Buffalo teams. Ed heard your interview with Ramblin Lou today have not seen you in a dogs age. You might not remember me but I had a band years ago with you Dick Moore and the country Playboys then changed to the Nasville way. Sure good to here yur voice from the past. Congratulations on your induction into the Hall. You probably don't remember me, but you gave me my first Country Lead lesson many,many years ago when you had your music store"Ed Bentley Music"I was the one who was trying to learn the "you and me and a talk named blue" lick.My wife ( Carol and I used to go and listen to you and the Meekers (Barb and Keith)at the old Surf and Turf club in Hamburg NY. Son, what an amazing look at where we have been and where we will be able to go. I will never understand the marvels of all this internet stuff, but I will always understand my love for you and the pride I have in your accomplishments. Ed Bentley is one of those guys that has obviously combined hard work with a true natural ability to entertain on guitar and vocals. Playing guitar for over 20 years now myself, it's always a treat to hear Ed get out the guitar and make me feel like a beginner. Hearing him play will give you the desire to get the guitar back out of it's case and start practicing again--(but where to get that natural feel and flair--oh well). Best of luck with the CD, I for one can't wait to hear it.
